Summer Reading Kick off

“A MidSummer Knight’s Read” featuring Rob Erdmann

This show is a combination of magic, puppets, storytelling, and audience participation. You will be entertained and full of laughter!.
 

  

Book Buddies

June 20-July 28

Mondays at 1:00 p.m. or Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.

Practice your reading and register to be paired up with an older volunteer to read stories together. 

 

Chapter 1 Club

Grades K-2nd

Limit 20 per session      

 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Sign up and check out a copy of the book.  Read the first chapter at home then finish the book with the club and do a fun activity!

Creative Crafts

Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. or 7:15 p.m.

 ALL AGES

All materials will be provided.

All ages; if child is 6 years or younger, an adult over 16 must be present to help with the craft.  Sessions will be held at 11:30 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. and last approximately 30—45 minutes.  Please register for one time only, and arrive at the beginning of your session.

June 24 - Chalk Creations

Get imaginative and creative! Join us outside and come up with some cool creations to draw using sidewalk chalk!

 

July 1 - Little Prince and Princess Playtime                  

Birth-K plus caregiver

Come play with the library’s toys and puzzles.  Read books, sing songs and meet other parents and children!

 

July 8 - Masquerade Party Mask                                                  

Grades 3rd -6th                                                                  

Limit 30

What would you wear to a masquerade ball if you were visiting King Arthur’s court?  Use your imagination to create the mask you’d wear!

 

July 15 - Family Festival Storytime                                             

All Ages                                                                   

Limit 25

Join in the family fun as we share medieval stories and songs.  Learn about the food served during this time.  Parent or caregiver must be present to assist with craft. 

 

July 22 - Medieval Magic

Let’s go back to the Middle Ages with Jack and Annie!  Have the Knight at Dawn, a Magic Tree House book read and come have a great time as we discuss it and do some fun activities!

 

July 29 - Medieval Bingo

Come play medieval picture bingo!  Winners will win small prize.

June 25 - Enchanted Castle Storytime

Share a story with your favorite adult and build a castle to take home with you!

 

July 2 - The King’s Treasure Hunt                                              

Grades 3rd- 6th                                                                  

Limit 20

The king has lost his treasure!  Come to the library and help him find it by searching for items throughout the library.

 

July 9 - Prince and Princess Party                                           

Ages 4-7                                                                  

Limit 40

Come and join the fun with stories, games and crafts.  Dress up as your favorite prince or princess and be of true royalty for the hour!

 

July 16 - You and Your Knight                                                    

Ages 3-8                                                                  

Limit 20

Bring -your dad, grandpa or knight in your life for a special storytime!  Have fun together and enjoy a special treat!

 

July 23 - Chivalrous Young Knights and Courtly Young Ladies 

Grades K-4th

All people of the kingdom have to practice good manners.  Come learn how to live up to the kingdom’s code of manners and enjoy a noble knight’s treat!

  

July 30 - Medieval Game Hour                                                  

All ages                                                                    

Limit 40

Stop in the library and cool off with a game of checkers or Medieval tic-tac-toe.  Challenge yourself with the Fairy Maze, Medieval crossword and castle connect the dots!

 

 

End of summer carnival featuring Circus Boy

Thursday, August 4th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

All ages—By invitation only

Join us for a carnival featuring games, prizes, snacks and face painting.  Circus Boy will perform his amazingly funny variety show!

Haunted Trails Pizza Party

Tuesday, August 9th from 5:30-8:00 p.m.

Anyone who reaches his or her final reading goal is invited for free pizza and pop for yourself and your brothers and sisters.
