Catch the Reading Bug!
Join in the fun this summer by participating in
Prairie Trails Public Library’s reading program,
“Catch the Reading Bug!”
· Children
entering 6th grade and below may participate.
Older preteens and teens may participate in the Young Adult Reading Program.
· Sign-up begins Monday, June 16th and continues throughout the program.
· Each school age registrant must have his or her own library card.
· You must be registered for the reading program to sign up for any activities.
· Please let us know if you will need any special accommodations to attend the programs.
Kick-off Party
Measner Magic
Thursday, June 19th from 2-2:45 p.m.
All ages welcome.
John Measner has been entertaining children and families for over 15 years, with his fast-paced, captivating and always magical performance. The stars of John’s show include his assortment of trained animals…and you – the audience. This blend of modern magic with a traditional touch has astonished audiences of all ages. When John brings his animal friends-a rabbit, an array of doves and two toy poodles-to the stage, magic just seems to happen!

CULVER’S ICE CREAM
PARTY
Reach your first reading goal and join us for an ice cream sundae and a
chance to win great prizes. Only those who pick up their book logs on
Friday, August 8th
beginning at 12:30 p.m. will
qualify for the special prizes which will be raffled at the conclusion of
the ice cream party. Slacker the Clown will be here giving out balloons
and a special gift to each reading participant in attendance.
Haunted Trails
Pizza Party
Tuesday, August 12th from 5:30-8 p.m.
Anyone who reaches the highest reading goal is invited to Haunted Trails for
free pizza and pop for yourself and your brothers and sisters.
